2TC Series Cast Iron Sheaves with Split Taper Bushings for Use with All C Section Belts
2TC series double-groove sheaves are manufactured for C, CX, banded belts, and CC v-belts. They range from 7.40″ to 24.40″ in diameter. Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use Q1 taper bushings, which we also stock. Most 2TC sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. All of them are balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.
10B series QD Bushed Sheaves Pulleys for “A” and “B” Belts
10B series pulleys are manufactured for A, AX, AA, 4L, B, BX, BB, and 5L v-belts, ranging from 5.75″ to 38.35″ in diameter. Most of our ten-groove 10B QD bushed pulleys are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. The main benefit of using a QD (quick detachable) pulley is that if the bushing (hub) breaks, you don’t have to replace the whole assembly, or if just the pulley gets worn out, the same principle applies. The other significant benefit is that there is a broader range of bore options with QD pulleys than with the “fixed-bore” style.
Variable Speed Sheaves
Speed adjustments are part of the pulley’s design benefits. The secret is within the threaded, angular faced discs that are the core of the V-shaped groove on each pulley. If you need more speed, move the discs toward each other. This alignment produces a belt that simply rides higher in the groove. Achieve a larger pitch diameter than before with this adjustment. Meet every requirement in your industry by slowing the machinery down to a specific rate. Simply increase the space between the two discs, which slows down the belt’s motion.
8B QD Bushed Sheaves Pulleys for A and B Belts
8B series pulleys are manufactured for A, AX, AA, 4L, B, BX, BB, and 5L v-belts, ranging from 5.75″ to 38.35″ in diameter.
