Bevel Gear
Forging Bevel Gears
A precision forging process for straight and spiral bevel gears can be used to improve their strength and reliability. This process utilizes a finite-element-based computer-aided design (CAD) tool to simulate the forming process and create a detailed model of the final shape. It also allows the manufacturer to make more precise and durable bevel gears while minimizing material scrap.
Spiral Bevel Gear
The spiral bevel gear has a curved pitch bevel teeth line. Similar to the meshing process of the straight bevel gear, its meshing is accompanied by the movement of the contact spots along the tooth height direction of the tooth surface.
Spiral Miter Gears
Spiral miter gears have a strength, oscillation, and noise level advantage over straight miter gears.
Miter Gears
Miter Gears are a type of bevel gear designed to work in pairs. Miter gear sets are found in applications where the drives’ input and output rotational speed does not vary, but direction changes. A miter gear set has a 1:1 ratio, identical dimensions, and several teeth.

Helical Bevel Gear
The helical bevel gear refers to the tooth line on the crown wheel of the production shape, which is a straight bevel gear that does not go through the bevel top.
Straight Bevel Gear
The straight bevel gear is the simplest type of bevel gear. The pitch cone tooth line is a radial straight line, and each tooth line passes through the tip of the pitch cone, and its gear teeth follow the direction of the cone generatrix, and gradually shrink from the large end of the gear truncated cone to the small end in proportion.
Plastic Bevel Gears
This type of gear has a conical shape with straight or spiral-cut teeth. Plastic bevel gears transfer motion between two axles that are intersecting, changing the rotation axis. These types of gear are mostly utilized in power tools and automotive applications. On all designs, the spiral cut version can be smoother and less noisy than other designs.
Zero-degree Spiral Bevel Gear
The zero-degree spiral bevel gear refers to the spiral bevel gear with the midpoint spiral angle of zero degrees. It has curved teeth that follow the same direction as the straight bevel gear. This gear is machined on the standard spiral bevel gear (circular-arc bevel gear), whose midpoint spiral angle is not zero degrees.

Spiral Bevel Gears (helical bevel gear)
A spiral bevel gear is a bevel gear with helical teeth. The spiral design produces less vibration and noise than conventional straight-cut or spur-cut gear with straight teeth. A spiral bevel gear set should always be replaced in pairs, i.e., both the left-hand and right-hand gears should be returned together since the gears are manufactured and lapped in pairs.
